Favé

UNITED KINGDOM - 2026

A high-fibre chocolate hazelnut macaron made with upcycled ingredients and fava bean tofu mousse.

Favé is a premium chilled macaron that brings together indulgence, nutrition and eco-innovation. Its crisp chocolate-hazelnut shell is made using upcycled hazelnut pulp, a nutritious by-product of hazelnut drink production that would otherwise go to waste. Inside is a smooth, plant-based chocolate mousse made with UK-grown fava beans. Each 55 g macaron delivers 10 g of fibre, while containing around 45% fewer calories and 75% less fat than a traditional almond macaron with chocolate ganache. Favé therefore offers consumers the luxury and sensory appeal of patisserie, while offering a more balanced choice for both people and the planet. Sold as a two-pack at a recommended retail price of £5.50, Favé is designed for premium chilled dessert aisles and sharing occasions. The product targets consumers age 25-40 years old, seeking an indulgent treat that does not force them to choose between taste, health and sustainability. Favé also offers strong commercial potential through its first-to-market positioning, premium price point and scalable product range. Future flavours include Pistachio, using upcycled pistachio pulp, and Tiramisu, featuring spent coffee extract. With bold branding, retail-ready packaging and a clear point of difference, Favé turns food by-products into a desirable premium experience: indulgence without compromise.
