Cereal4 is a multicereal powdered base for milk beverage or dessert (pudding). It contains a mildly processed mixture of four cereal sources (rye, oat, rice and corn), carob flour, with natural flavor components (orange- mastic or cinnamon-ginger) and alternative sweetener (encapsulated stevia). It is designed for reconstitution in milk and it can be served as a base for both a healthy, nutritional hot or cold beverage and a delicious dessert (pudding). The concept of Cereal4 derives from a Greek traditional recipe used either as a coffee-substitute for adults or as a milk dessert for children. Its innovative interest compared to similar food products already on the market comes especially from its outstanding nutritional- sugar-free, gluten-free, high-fibered and sensory characteristics- a new taste and flavor never used before. Its production takes on board eco-innovation aspects including basic, natural ingredients of national origin, conventional processes with minimal energy and environmental cost and recyclable or biodegradable packaging. Based on its manufacturing and investment cost it can be easily reproducible and thus be available in retail distribution or food service sector. According to the relevant regulations, Cereal4 is intended for all consumers even for special population groups (children, adults, diabetics, gluten-intolerant) as it combines traditional food materials with innovative flavor mixtures and a new alternative sweetener.
