“Honey” is a new sparkling sweet aperitif created with local Danish honey. The high quality honey gives the aperitif a full bodied palate of nuts and caramel with a smooth mouth feel and is balanced by the touch of bubbles and acidity. The aperitif shines with golden colours in the glass and fits perfectly as a sweet refreshing drink under the sun. The aperitif is an alcoholic beverage with the content of 7,5% Vol. and is sold in a traditional 750mL bottle suited for sparkling wine and is transparent to allow consumers to enjoy the colour of the wine. Together with the labels with focus on light, golden and green colours, the packaging glows with exclusivity, tradition and high quality.
The idea of the aperitif originates from mead which is a traditional European alcoholic beverage made with honey and has strong roots in Denmark. The concept of mead has gone through an innovative process with the purpose of modernization and has become a balanced aperitif with eco-friendly attributes. This beverage is created with honey from local beekeepers and fermented at nearby vineyards. The constellation limits the transportation needs in the primary production and utilises equipment at the wineries that would otherwise not be used since most of the equipment is only in use during late summer after harvest. The aperitif embraces sustainability in every aspect and ensures continuous production with ingredients from high standard agriculture.
